Dr. Pope is a board-certified, fellowship-trained radiologist specializing in nuclear medicine. He earned his degree in medicine from the University of Tennessee Memphis College of Medicine. He completed his residency in 2001 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and later completed his fellowship in nuclear medicine at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

 
Dr. Pope is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds memberships in the American College of Radiology (ACR), the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS), the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNR) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
